Returning for its third edition, Transylvania Spoken Word Festival is coming 23 - 26 November 2025.

This year theme is: “Romania, sweet fantasy”

It's a statement we came up to after the toughest year for the cultural scene. No funding from the government, little support from the community, a roller coaster year for the team behind the project.

All in all, we felt like we've been tested, but we also felt that it's even more important than ever to push and to offer you this festival.

We are proud we’ve been host to over 150 artists in the past 2 years, with more than 20 coming from countries like the United Kingdom, France, Poland, United States, Slovakia, Moldova, and Netherlands.

This year we dedicate the festival to Romanian spoken word artists, featuring shows from:

Unforgettable Performances that set the stage on fire by acclaimed spoken word artists, dynamic slam competitions, and raw, live performances that push lyrical and creative boundaries.
Practical workshops, and a supportive open mic session for those interested in mastering the craft
A slam poetry contest, where over 20 artists will compete for the title of the Spoken Word Artist of the year.

Access allowed to people between 15-18 years old accompanied by a parent/guardian or with a written declaration of parental commitment and consent.

Festival Opening featuring 4 spoken word artists and a new album release from Paul Craciun (kristianonethree)

November 24th:

Open Mic by Decopertat Cluj

November 25th:

Cluj Highlight Artist show

Slam Poetry Contest (Follow @transylvaniaspokenword on Instagram for registration)

November 26th:

Festival closing featuring shows from 7 spoken word artists.

All shows start at 19.00

All events take place at Atelier Cafe, Cluj-Napoca

One day tickets available only at the doors for 50 RON (might not be available if the event is sold out)
